Vietnam Memoir 1

Waiting Lounge 081212

The first leg of my trip is over. The flight from Cebu to Manila was quick, as usual. Thank God! I was so beat! I seriously just had about four hours of sleep. I got home from work yesterday at about 10 pm. Started packing and ended at about 11:30. Much to my chagrin, I forgot to pack my toothbrush! Typical.

The flight was quick, like I said, but it was too crowded. I flew coach. My first time in years. Hahaha! I'm in a tight budget. Honestly, I just wanted to have the whole backpacking feel of this trip. I'm guessing backpackers don't really fly business class. I'm not bitching, just middle-class guilt talking.

God bless my MP3 player. The official soundtrack? The Script and Ferras.

I just salvaged my last few peso bills and now they're dollars, no use for peso bills now - damn! I'm also thankful that my backpack was checked-in all the way to HCMC, now I'm just carrying my camera pack and travel belt thingy.

The food here in the lounge is fairly predictable. I just gobbled a serving of some chicken pasta, a pancake with butter and syrup and a mini burger that tastes awful. I hate airport food! After my last (actually it's my first) cigarette, I'm ready to board the plane.

PR 597 now boarding.
